Elite cottage – housing of noble blood

Elite cottage – housing of noble blood

In our understanding, an elite cottage is a respectable, reliable and, of course, expensive home. An elite cottage is literally saturated with quality: from the materials used for its construction to such small finishing details as door handles. But “eliteness” is, first of all, size. We can talk about a cottage as elite if its area is not less than 600 sq. m. At the same time, the size of the garden plot should be at least 1 ha. In elite housing, there is a clear division of zones into technical and residential.

At the planning stage of an elite cottage, it is necessary to take into account the interests and needs of all family members: where they would like to locate their room, what size dressing room should be, etc.

Such planning will help to avoid various problems in the future, related, for example, to the fact that it will be difficult for older people to go up to their room on the upper floors. The same applies to entertainment rooms, be it a home cinema, a greenhouse, a gym or a billiard room.
In an elite house, utility rooms should be isolated from living quarters as much as possible. If the construction of a cottage involves a large residential complex, and in the future you plan to use the services of service personnel, it is recommended to think over bypass corridors so that non-family members do not embarrass others with their constant presence. You should also take care of the competent location of plumbing units (not only in terms of use, but also repairs in the event of breakdowns).

An elite cottage should not just be a country house, it should combine with the surrounding area in a single ensemble. Today, this is quite easy to do, thanks to modern achievements in the field of landscape design. Good designers are able to build a real garden paradise with artificial ponds, fountains and waterfalls, secluded gazebos, flower beds, etc. And whether your yard will imitate the naturalness of an English park, or the severity of a French garden – it is up to you to decide.

A little about style. An elite cottage itself does not imply a connection to any specific architectural style. Nevertheless, certain trends in cottage fashion can still be traced. Thus, today the most popular style in the construction of cottages is considered to be classicism. Clear architectural symmetry with column design are the signs of this stylistic trend. The popularity of cottages built in the American and Art Nouveau styles is also not falling.
And yet, the main indicator when choosing should remain your personal preferences. By and large, it is not the style itself that is important, but the harmony already mentioned above, otherwise, regardless of the breadth of the project and the amount of invested funds, you risk being known as a person devoid of taste.
